"Abuse" not about Hillary Clinton or Politics

I adopted a family of four girls. They were ages one to four when they were placed in my home.   My children were sexually abused in foster care, even at their very young age.  The fact that they got accepted in tier one universities while struggling with learning difficulties was not enough to empower them. Sadly, they still struggle with self esteem issues. For all the reasons mentioned, I’ve dedicated my writings to empower victims and perhaps, to heal myself in some way. Still wanting to hold onto the goodness of others, I lost sight of how cruel people can be. Not in a million years did it ever occur to me that "Bullshit" would be a response to any of my poems. Yet, that was the exact r

Undone/ Stand up to Abuse

Stand up to Abuse   Recognize the face of abuse, It's a worldwide phenomenon. It’s your neighbor, coworker, sister, daughter, Mother, friend.   It’s not only physical; it's verbal, sexual and mental. Anyone who’s being used as a source of income, imprisoned, and mistreated by someone.   Don't hide your face or remain a phantom. Stand up to abuse, and let it be known.   If it would bring harm to you,   recognize it, but expose the harm That’s been inflicted on you..   Doesn't matter who it is, was, did, does or wants to become. Your life is worth saving.   Stand up to Abuse. You are not alone.   Difficulty shapes us but should not defeat us. This is the message of "The cry of our children." Love's the foundation of Peace

Image
All panic over that or this, And do whatever it takes to achieve, But push aside what should be cherished. It’s not fancy cars or designers jeans, But relationships with others. By loving more we discriminate less. For love is the foundation of peace. If all had love, what more would they need? "The Cry of our children" poetry about life and various situations. Life!

You found me at the end of my journey. Though I loved you for a life time, You chose to turn away several times. I held on for a while,  then I chose to walk alone. Longed to hear my father say, well done, you did great. Your reward awaits you. Life   could have been lovely if I gave you, your heart's desire, I wanted more for you. A caring loving partner, family not because of our relationship, but because you earned it. That’s my intentions. Accept  my gift!     buy my poetry ebook by selecting this link

Hope

Hope whispered to me, I packed my bag for I believed, I am capable. Drive and dreams I've got, and is necessary. They enable us in times of difficulty, Pass its legacy on, teaches others does not quit during a storm. But keeps hopes going strong, persistent, becomes a winner in the end.   purchase by book of poems here

Man of my Dreams

Image
I didn’t want a man I could tame. But one who’d support my aim. The one I loved doesn't show care. Believed my job was to support his career.   He'd play the cat and mouse game. But claims he loved me the same. Yet I spent stressful days alone. Because he'd always disappear.   I was a lovely woman to look at. At first he told other men that. Things changed after we had children. He broke my heart by the way he behaved.   He was not charming like he was before. And my prince became a Lion that roared. We’re not adventurous as we were. Still I craved romance, and the man I adored. buy my ebook of poems by selecting this link

Encounter with Pastor Joel Osteen

Difficulty shapes us but should not defeat us. That is the message of "the cry of our Children" We should be neighborly towards each other as Joel Osteen demonstrated in my encounter with him. I was not one to stand in line for autographs or take pictures with celebrities. Yet, last Sunday I found myself in line to meet Joel Osteen. I had friends visiting from my native country of Belize and they wanted to attend his church service. So there I was doing what I've never done before and would not choose to do, but truly up lifted by it. Not wanting them to hear what I chose to say to him, I stepped close to him, extended my hands and said, "Jerusalem, my father thanks you and I thank you for the work you are doing." He repeated back to me his well recited lines, but not truly comprehending my words. He responded, "Thank you for coming, and we will be praying for you." I thought to myself, yah, how on earth would he remember to pray for all tho

Woman encircled by the Sun.

Woman is that truly you, in pained to be delivered? Your glow is evident, the sun encircles you. Though you stood in a cave, Where Hindu priest burnt incense and prays, the sun rays encircled to protect. Didn't surround before you entered.   John saw, many don't understand who you were and your timing. What caused you to appear as you do? Has there been improvement? Did we embrace you, treat you the same or better than Jesus? Why did the bible mentioned you? Son, because of my complexion I was   mistreated, not taken seriously. I am here for judgment, to understand, was not to condemn but for justification. I recognized your struggles. Take comfort in that, I’ve learned, remain sadden, alone and abandoned, unrecognized, not by him who sent me, still I am.   You are my child, I wrote life lessons,   instruction for you in my book of poetry.   The Cry of our children.
