Purposeful Writings

Writings that are written with intent, a purpose, To inform and enlighten. Yet, some find her pen frightening. A sigh, nod and grin, acceptance, but no comments. Injustice done to her and others. Needs not be repeated, her aim, To expose wrong doing. Knew her when she was younger. she observed but never said a word. She now addresses difficult issues, Others pretend they don’t exist. Dance around topics. Recognized for advancement, One cannot be so straight forward. She insists for change, She must, until …. The world discovers her truth. She momentarily lies buried in frustration. A different generation will comprehend, What the present and previous could not grasp. Buy my book of poems here by clicking this link.

Home: A Holiday Promise

Home, the place I wish to be. There I’ll attain rest, experience peace, support, and not feel afraid. The wind chimes would be welcoming. It would be saturated with happiness. Wish it could be by Christmas. But know it won't be, am still searching. Promised myself, I’ll find a place. It will be perfect for me. Those who turned their backs, cursed me, will not place their feet on my door mat. That will be my gift to me. Purchase my book of poems by selecting this link

Mama did something right

Mama did something right. She taught me to be polite. Even with all I've battled in life, I never strayed from her advice. I needed her love more than dad’s. Not the many concerns she had, Still, I loved the woman, I've become. I was the daughter who was unlike her sons. Mama did something right. She taught me to be polite. Even with all I've battled in life, I never strayed from her advice. As an adult when I was away from home. I would speak to her daily on the phone. Not that I was looking for her approval. I did so at times when I needed to refuel. Her children were very unkind to me. Though their behavior no one could see. It caused me unnecessary grief. But she knew that they were being untrue. Mama did something right. She taught me to be polite. Even with all I've battled in life, I never strayed from her advice. puchase by book of poems by clicking this link

Thanksgiving Prayer

Thank you for healing. Thank you for pain. Thank you for capital gains. Thank you for those who never trample others people feelings. Thank you for your sacrificial gifts. Thank you for daily help that’s beneficial. Thank you for the food that maintains my body, But not for my life long craving for improvement. Thank your for Joan although she is gone, for her spirit that still lives on. Her daughter Melissa as she continues. That she may not struggles with any issues. I pray all these things for myself also. That those who cause trouble would be out numbered. That they may not be recognized but seen as untrue, that they would never be remembered by you. purchase by book of poems by selecting this link

Determined to be a true Beauty

Aching on the inside. It's hard to stop second guessing, my beliefs, all I've placed my trust in. Disappointed and broken, but certain, I don't need to prove my reason for being. Though discarded because of my appearance, It does not change my determination. Inside and out, I have no doubt. I am beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful. buy my poetry book by selecting this link.

Fallen Knight!

Fight! I say you fallen knight. your foolish words betray thee. The folly from your thunderous voice was taken far too seriously. Yet in ruins you laid, Destroyed by your desire. Soft spot you had for her quieted. You loved but did not know her. Buy my book of poems by clicking this link

Unappreciated Love

I sorrow, I sorrow deeply. He used to walk along side me. I recall his smile, I called him baby brother. He was stolen, smothered. Conflict snatched life from him. Their pain was not for him, woman he chose destroyed him. why didn't he turn away, look the other way? I am heart broken. What does it matter? His thoughts were not of me. Not that I was unappreciated, he chose the who preoccupied his mind. Buy my book of poem by choosing this link

Ashes Victorious

Ashes won again, am ignited, Not by passion, but fury. Grief unleashed, I asked for help. But all refused to listen. Death release your sting. Beauty tarnished by folly. Why did that happen? Reason matters not to anyone. For Judgment sake was important. Who would believe? Till the unbelievable confirmed, Truth and I remain unknown. Purchase my book of poems here

Curious heart

Searched for one, After all the stories. was convinced, misdirected! Believed in sincerity, Compassion, a loving honest person. One I connected with was indifferent. desired one who danced in steps, with only me. Navigates life perfectly. Discovered the stories were untrue. His person, ways were horrible. My curious, hurting heart lost hope, continues. Buy my book of poems by clicking this link

To Forget

Baby, I broke free! I've got a new outlook. Am hoping it will revive me. Given the beating life gave me. My poems and lyrics enabled me. At times, they relayed sorrow, longings for a happy tomorrow. Recall I enjoyed writing them. They brought relief to me. Wish for some to be put to music. I would lose myself in my poems and lyrics. Perhaps I'll forget, the complication. These alone were my perfect fix. To forget my brokenness. Devoted a life time to my passions. Only to lose myself in my songs. Buy by poetry book by selecting this link

Mistake!

I did not mean to hurt you. Missed you after you went away. Heard you said, I rejected you. That was my mistake! Wished you knew, I desired you. Wondered what became of you. Enjoyed the time we had together. Did not realized you felt jilted. I should have listened. Not form my own conclusions. Wish for a second chance. But wanted to say, I love you. mutual Partnership

While I lived alone, I craved companionship. Hoped for love, satisfaction, Partnership, Presently I still crave it. Wishing not only to desire, consider, Wanted and needed a partner. Longed for my heart to be captured. Not burned, transformed by others. Wanted a lovely life. not the one I had. Longed for a union mutually shared. Heartache instead was all I had. Best Remembered!

What will I remember best? Your noble front, self advancement, kindness extended to others. Indifference as I mourned? Had you helped, I would have seen your love. Instead I'll recall: all you said, That you pushed me aside, your bride, instead of providing I'm promised peace. All I suffered to be pushed aside, as though, I do not sincerely matter. buy my book by selecting this link

your ways not age

It was not your age, words and choices, drove me way. Wished it was not so. That remnants were priceless. Harm not inflicted, That you were a compassionate person. I needed you to chose me. To have desired, Instead your agenda, changed my view of you forever.

Loved him for himself

Picking bills from his wallet, as if, they were worth millions. He had less than his insinuation. Money gave him significance. Found him to be dashingly handsome. Prince I was waiting on. Cherished him, not money, or his appearance, but selected him. Not knowing who he was. He winked and smiled, I was flattered, loved his potentials. And it was time that I had a companion. Failed to see he was pretentious. While he believed I was gorgeous, He was never secure, Or could he express love appropriately.

Changed Relationship

I felt incomplete in life, rejected, unloved. like I wasn't cared for. I became distraught, wondered what I was fighting for. Not desire, but indifference ensnared. I felt as if it was not Eve but I who was deceived. I thirst for acceptance, to not just be his rival. Fell for a phony, One who gave false promises, And didn't truly loved me. Displayed care for some, supported them, despite their misgivings. The pain they caused, inflicted me. Neglected from the start, preference given to unloving people. Truth laid hidden with the serpent. But people seem to listen, accept him. That added to my grief. Instead of promises kept, all I saw was the opposite. Today, tomorrow, yesteryear, proves friendship wasn't there. No compassion but bountiful despair.

Wanted her to love me!

I know her many stories. Places she’s been, Those she met. Still wanted her to love me. Sweet angel lady, Who brought you here? Dried your tears, considered, your future, not past? I’ve been listening, Waiting to assist, to change her story. Wanted you to love me. As you spoke of other lovers, Of not being complete. But had no idea. I wanted you to love me.

He does not love me!

He cannot say, he loved me. He lied to everybody. Sugar coating his actions With his deceitful intentions. Who will continue to believe? He cannot say, he loved me, He never supported me. Betrayal is not love expressed, Neither constantly denying, That expresses the reverse. He cannot say, he loved me, Or wanted the best for me. Afflictions' not love. Just a cover story, His actions were deliberate.

Was not given to me!

Everybody who's broke, Begging for money. It's not a joke, I am considering, But not caving in. I got my fill, Of people begging. I utilize my skills, To make a living. Do the same thing. Stop asking me. Money was not handed me. I worked hard to earn it. It was not given. Do the same thing. Don't rob or beg me. Everyone's thinking I got lots of money, Not knowing my expenses. Or the heartache that came with it. If they did, they'd stop begging.
